WHAT MAKES JLR UNIQUE
Population Aims
JLR's mission is to reach people who not only suffer from substance abuse, but also whose wellness has been compromised by lack of support, trauma, unhelpful thinking styles, and disabilities. We employ a holistic anti-racist approach to recovery that is more supportive of marginalized communities.
Resident Opportunities
Recovery, personal growth, and community building. All residents are supported in maintaining their recovery plan. We encourage our residents to participate in community activities like gardening, holiday celebrations, movie nights, or bowling outings, etc. All residents are involved in the Sunday house meetings. A resident-run recovery meeting is held every Tuesday evening.
Resident Run
Our residents have a significant impact on the daily operations of the building & program. We are a sober-living facility and not a treatment center, therefore we do not provide counseling services for our residents.
Felon Friendly
If you are applying while in the Department of Corrections, it is required that you provide the contact information of your DOC case manager, parole officer, probation officer, etc. to start the interview process.
Certifications
Level 2 CARR certified recovery house focusing on recovery from alcohol and illicit substances addiction.
