WHO WE ARE

MISSION

Just Living Recovery (JLR) is dedicated to creating a clean sober-living residential environment for recovery and healing from substance abuse. With an eye toward equity, we support marginalized populations, especially LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.

VISION

We envision an addiction recovery community that is a sustainable, safe, residential option for people in recovery, welcoming all races, genders and sexual identities. Through self-empowerment, JLR residents find a sense of belonging on their path to long-term recovery.

Just Living is a place to be or become the real you, for those who have never known themselves.

JUST a place to live free from terrors of addiction, for those who have. nightmares about relapse

JUST an idea of community, for those who’ve never had one.

A JUST Living Indeed!

Kit, former resident

Just Living is truly a community where residents come together to chat, share meals, learn new skills, and most of all, build a sense of closeness. Community is the bond that holds them together and makes them stronger in their recovery and in the living of their daily lives. As a volunteer, I love seeing residents chat and laugh and share. I hope this wonderful group thrives and more and more residents pass through the always welcoming doors.

Andi Pearson, JLR Volunteer

Just Living was definitely the foundation of my spiritual journey.

I got sober on 01/11/2019 after 30 years of living in my alcoholism. JUST Living provided the ideal transitional living environment that I needed. Their structure showed me to trust but also held me accountable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Miss Ruth and to the JUST Living house for trusting me and loving me when I didn’t even love myself!

Staying at JustLiving was a pivotal point for me.

It showed me that even though I’m no longer using, I can foster a sense of community-based on healthy habits. In addition, I felt like I could contribute in a meaningful way to the space I occupy. What it all comes down to is the ability to change, and I’m not entirely confident that I would have felt I possessed that without the environment at JUST, or without the caring nature of those who reside and/or work there.
